CURRICULUM VITAE

summa creator - cv/resume
Anna B. Debecki the Curator , who in 2007, in Chicago, presented the work that identified the "curator", as an underutilized element of the art industry.
Anna embarked on a professional career path in 1987 and mapped that path with markers which, now, define the art world. She wrote a few years ago, "Identifying 'marks' in the fine art industry has been my own talent, therefore in 2007 my complete work on the subject, and my vision of it's application was presented in Chicago. "
The work addressed the need to do away with art 'bubble' markets. The work presented a system design for creating a robust 'open' primary market and a robust secondary market, as well. Anna B. Debecki presented a sketch for a systems design for an interconnected sales platform for the fine art market. The word 'curator' was swallowed immediately and today the word 'curator' is used very frequently.
"During my 25 year tenure in the exclusive fine art world I focused on the most effective execution of business systems. Personally curated , creative directed, and personally promoted over 100 exhibition. During my 10 year tenure, as Founder, owner, President (CEO) and Creative Director/Curator of a 'cutting edge' art gallery, I proved my vision of 'what is next' is on mark.
Eastwick Art Gallery was a 3500 square foot highly elegant gallery located in Chicago's Old Town/Gold Coast neighborhood, steps from Lincoln Park and almost on the shore of Lake Michigan, representing a collection of international artists. I focused on effective execution of systems I designed for the purpose of launching new talent. Set market pace, accurately predicted new trends, and challenged the competition to follow, was on 'cutting edge' of new movements, with focus on maximizing sales per unit and establishing collections.
In the early 2000s I identified the need for new method of doing business using global internet access. Designed a new method of doing business, and sales systems, for artists , galleries and private art dealers, using a 'new plug in' technology platform. From the start I knew the success of the artist depends on the presentation. It is a unique combination of visual presentation and sales skill which create success in allowing the public to understand the artist's vision. The curator , the gallery, and the quality of their work should be the focus of every artist looking for a gallery and of every person who wishes to collect art. Identifying 'marks' in the fine art industry has been my own talent.
In 2007 my complete work on the subject, and my vision of it's application was presented in Chicago. The work addressed the need to do away with art 'bubble' markets and creating a robust 'open' primary market and a robust secondary market (resale). The word 'curator' was liked and the word 'curator' is the only part of the design that has been implemented into the mainstream, and the art word still operates on a business model from 100 years ago. Today the word 'curator' is used very frequently. The word 'curator' was used by me for presentation purpose only as was the term 'Curatornet', as I had no intention of giving away the 'brand'."

EAST' - East Euro Fine Art 1992 Goal - Establishing an even footing within the world of contemporary art, in the Chicago market, for the artists of Poland, Russia Czech Republic, Romania etc. who, during the years of the Stalinist/Soviet occupation were relegated to showing work in ‘ethnic/cultural centers’ and had little or no access to ‘mainstream’ collectors.
WICK' Wicker Park Chicago Fine Art 1992 Goal - Establishing an 'upscale' /main-stream contemporary art gallery specifically focused on showing the Art of the 'WICK' , Wicker Park Chicago, in co-operation with the artists of Wicker Park's Art Attack Gallery.
